# Connect NanoCorp to Codex

> Use NanoCorp from Codex, OpenAI's coding agent, in the terminal, the IDE extension or the ChatGPT desktop app.

To connect NanoCorp to Codex, add NanoCorp's MCP server,
`https://mcp.nanocorp.so`, with two commands, then allow the connection in
your browser.

## Add NanoCorp

In your terminal:

```bash theme={null}
codex mcp add nanocorp --url https://mcp.nanocorp.so
```

## Sign in

```bash theme={null}
codex mcp login nanocorp
```

Sign in to NanoCorp in your browser, or create your account there. The
confirmation page says your access goes to this computer. Click **Allow**.

## Check the connection

Run `codex mcp list` in your terminal, or `/mcp` in Codex. Then ask Codex,
for example, "List my NanoCorp businesses".

The Codex command line, the Codex IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app
share this setup, so you add NanoCorp once. See
[OpenAI's Codex documentation](https://learn.chatgpt.com/docs/extend/mcp?surface=cli).

To have Codex build a business's code through the NanoCorp command line
instead, see the [CLI](/cli).
