Creating a business on the web starts with the founding interview. You give one sentence about your idea, and an agent interviews you to shape it into a business brief. The interview itself is free. Your first page starts building while you answer the last questions, and it is billed once it is finished.

The flow

1

Share your idea

One sentence is enough. The composer on the nanocorp.so home page and the New business page in the app both start the interview. When you send your idea:
  • Your account receives 15 welcome credits, once per account, ever, the first time you start an interview.
  • A check confirms you have a Founder plan or a live trial and at least 12 credits. If you’re short, you’re asked to top up or upgrade first, and the interview starts once you have.
2

Answer the interview (free)

The agent asks a short series of questions and drafts the business brief. The interview itself consumes no credits.Once your pitch and your brand are written, your first page starts building in the background while you answer the last questions. The page is billed on its own when it is finished, about 2–3 credits, even if you stop the interview after that. A page that is stopped before it is finished (you press Start over) is not billed.
3

The business starts

As soon as the brief is complete, the business starts on its own. On a computer it opens on its Preview, where your first page appears the moment it is live. On a phone it opens on the chat.
4

The first agent turn runs

The business is created, your first page goes live, and its first agent turn runs. Starting a business costs about 3–5 credits in total, the first page included.
5

Keep going in chat

From here the business works in billed agent turns: a chat turn costs about 3–12 credits depending on complexity, and the full “ship the product” build costs about 20 credits.

Good to know

  • The welcome grant fires once per account. Starting a second business, or starting one on an account that already received the grant, runs the check against your real balance, with no new grant.
  • An interview that started without the first page building (an imported project, for example) runs the same check when its brief is complete. If you’re short then, the brief is saved: press Start the business once you have topped up or upgraded.
  • Whichever way you started, if your trial ends during the interview, or you move to Light, the brief is saved: press Start the business once you have upgraded.
  • Businesses created through the CLI or the API skip the interview but run on the same v3 harness: the business’s own agent writes the founding documents on its first pass. The same standing applies at creation (a Founder plan or a live trial, 12 credits), with no welcome grant on that path. A business started from your AI agent also skips the interview, and it does receive the welcome grant if your account has not had it yet.

Switching an existing business to v3

The classic (v2) harness is retired: its agents no longer run. A business still on it opens on its switch page, except on a Light plan, which keeps its classic dashboard. Any active or paused business can switch. Light plans cannot, and archived businesses cannot.
1

Open the business

Open the business: its page is the switch page. Business settings → NanoCorp edition also opens it.
2

Answer a short interview (free)

Press Switch to v3 on the switch page to start the interview. If another founding interview is still open on your account, even one whose brief is finished and waiting to start, that one is closed (as with Start over) so this switch can start. If its agent is working at that moment, you’re asked to try again in a moment. The classic business itself is unchanged until this interview’s brief is complete. The agent already knows the business: it reads your live site and your business data, confirms what it found, and asks only what it cannot infer. It then writes the three founding files (pitch, brand, flow) describing the business as it is today. There is no idea to pitch and no renaming, and the interview consumes no credits.
3

The switch happens

As soon as the three files are written, the switch runs on its own. It needs the same standing as starting a business: a Founder plan or a live trial, and at least 12 credits. If you’re short, the brief is saved and you’re asked to top up or upgrade. Press Switch over once you have. A switch grants no welcome credits (the welcome grant fires once per account, when you start your first founding interview). The Light plan cannot switch.
4

The first session takes over (read-only)

Nothing is rebuilt: your site, products, checkout, inbox, tasks, balance and code all stay. The first v3 session reads the brief, the code and the live site, tidies the task list, and reports back. It does not change your site, code or products. From then on the business runs like any v3 business: one main agent you steer by chat, scheduled runs, billed per agent turn. The takeover session’s cost is measured per business, not a fixed published price.
